My journey began as a young girl struggling with asthma and eczema, searching for products that didn’t irritate my skin or trigger my breathing. When my grandchildren began facing the same challenges, I knew I had to be the change creating products that nurture, not harm.

Then life tested me in ways I could never have imagined.

In 2016, we lost our oldest daughter, Erika, to Pancreatic cancer. That heartbreak awakened my purpose. In 2021, I faced breast cancer myself, learning firsthand how vital clean living truly is. And in April 2025, our family endured another devastating loss our radiant Shawna, whose strength and grace continue to inspire me every day.

Out of that pain came purpose.

I created Shawna’s Gems to honor her memory and to celebrate every survivor, fighter, and loved one whose lives have been touched by illness. Each product is made with clean, nurturing ingredients and infused with love, because I believe self-care is healing.

When I create, I’m not just making beauty products.

I’m making hope. I’m making legacy. I’m making love tangible.

For me, clean beauty is a movement—a way to remind others that from pain can come purpose, and from loss can come light.
